Andrew Meaden

CEO North Asia

Andrew Meaden, CEO Mindshare, North Asia, is responsible for running MindShare's offices in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea and Japan.

Andrew grew up in northern England, on the Lancashire coast. After school he worked as a volunteer teacher in Israel and Egypt and later went on to attend St Johns College, Durham University, where he studied history and the classics. ?

Andrew began his career at Zenith Media in 1991 in London, where he worked mainly on retail accounts. He later moved to Ogilvy and Mather Media in 1993, which was later re-named "The Network". ?He moved to Asia in 1997 with a posting in Vietnam as Media Director of Dentsu Young & Rubicam in Ho Chi Minh City, after which he was promoted to agency General Manager. He joined MindShare Japan in 2000 as agency General Manager and was promoted to CEO in 2003. In October 2005, he came in China as Managing Partner of Mindshare Southern & Eastern China and was promoted to CEO of MindShare China in November 2006.

As CEO of MindShare China, Andrew pulled together a very strong and capable management team and put in place a very clear vision focusing on growth and diversification of MindShare's talent and service offering. As a result, Andrew led MindShare China through a period of major expansion via new business successes and new income stream development.

Andrew was awarded "Manager of the Year for 2006" in the Mindshare Asia Pacific internal awards.
