National Head of Strategic Planning

Having worked in Europe, Asia and the United States, Karl has broad expertise in strategic planning, consumer research, branding and digital strategy for clients as diverse as Unilever, Pepsi, Ford, Disney, Mars and P&G.

As National Head of Strategic Planning in China, Karl is responsible for MindShare's communications planning and insights capability across the 7 network offices.? Before moving into this position, Karl was the National Director for MindShare China's Unilever team. Here he played a key role in the development of? Unilever's biggest brand integration and sponsorship initiative ever in the market, the launch of the Chinese version "Ugly Betty."

Prior to coming to China, Karl was Vice President, Context Planning at Starcom in New York where he worked with a variety of FMCG.

Earlier in his career Karl was one of the original Connections Strategists at TBWA.? He also worked as a digital and brand strategist at Razorfish in London (now Avenue A/Razorfish) where he led the relaunch of Ford.com and helped launch the agency's interactive TV capability in the European market.
